  • Dutch Masters including Rembrandt
  • Dutch furniture & pottery
  • The Rijksmuseum closed its doors hours after we left when some workers discovered what they thought was asbestos, and remained closed the duration of our visit. The museum was later declared asbestos-free.

  • The Red Light District was much tamer than we expected.
  • Perhaps it's because we've been to places like Miami, the Florida Keys, and San Francisco that it didn't shock us, but the same scene in the U.S. would have been a lot seedier and dangerous, and probably would have involved some sort of gunfire.
