18 January — Dublin

St. Stephens Green is a nice, but cold getaway in the middle of town.

Just around the corner is the National Museum, home of the Tara Brooch and lots of other relics from Ireland's past. Admission is free, and is well worth the time.

Also nearby is Dunnes Department store, with a fine, inexpensive cafeteria.
